Mexico: a trendy city!

Mexico City is also very famous for its architecture. With seven centuries of history, the Mexican capital, during the 20th century, took advantage of its multicultural identity to produce a unique architecture. Frida spirit everywhere
What would Mexico be without the iconic Frida Kahlo? At 247 Calle de Londres, in central Coyoacán, Mexico, La Casa Azul is a real eye-catcher. This superb villa with a dazzling azure facade houses Frida Kahlo’s house-museum, where she lived most of her life with her husband Diego Rivera. The Frida Kahlo Museum is a peaceful space to write, be inspired, and revitalize before the next step. Not far away, the Leon Trotsky House Museum honores Leon Trotsky, Russian revolutionary and passionate lover of Frida Kahlo, and strives for the right to asylum.
When we are in Mexico City, we love to walk around the beautiful neighborhood of Roma Norte. It is the city’s trendy culinary and artistic heart, where you will mostly come across hipsters on bikes! Ethical fashion, trendy tables, influential gallery… Crossed by the thrilling Avenida Álvaro Obregón, the Roma Norte district makes the Mexican capital shine. Not far from there, you can also pass by the district of Santa Maria la Ribera. We advise you to stop at the Fundación Casa Wabi – SMLR. This space’s main objective is to showcase the work of young artists in Mexico City.

After tasting the wide variety of Tacos and other Tamales that Mexicans have erected to the rank of local culinary pride, fresh fruit juice in the city’s many juice bars will know how to refresh your palate! And if your taste buds crave a sweet touch, you will find what you are looking for in the cute Panaderia Rosetta bakery.

A mystical and colorful city
Mexicans are fascinated by the mystic, as evidenced by the famous Día de Los Muertos, which celebrates the dead with colorful offerings. If you want to immerse yourself in this unusual culture, we strongly recommend visiting the Mercado Sonora. You will find medicinal herbs for any disease, amulets, candles, lotions, and other witchcraft articles in the narrow alleys.
Finally, a visit to the temples of Teotihuacan will allow you to understand the attachment of Mexicans to the mystic. Symbol of Mexico par excellence, the pyramids of the Moon and the Sun of Teotihuacan were places of worship and offering ceremonies.
No less magical in their incredible beauty, the floating gardens of Xochimilco are the ideal place to escape the noise and bustle of the city.
